The news coverage on the drought in Africa comes and goes. The problems in Africa won’t come and go so quickly. A lack of food and over-crowding in refugee camps are creating untold problems. The worst outcome for any family caught in this disaster is death.
According to to the United Nations (OCHA): There are 12.4 million people in need of humanitarian assistance in the Horn of Africa. An additional 800,000 people in Kenya are in need of food aid and the number of refugees continues to rise. About 1.25 million children across Southern Somalia are in urgent need of life saving interventions and 640,000 are acutely malnourished. Many have crossed the border into Kenya looking for food.

Speroway will send funds directly to Feed The Children Kenya so they can provide food to children and families in the hardest hit regions. Kenya shares a large border with Somalia so there are thousands that have crossed that border seek food to battle their hunger.
