Once again, Speroway has a team that is going to Haiti. From August 18 – 25 a team of seven from Fuller Life Church in Markham, Ontario will be visiting Haitian orphanages. The team will spend the time playing with the children, conducting a VBS program and doing various upkeep projects like cleaning and painting at some orphanages in the Port au Prince area.
Pastor Nelson Kung is leading the team alongside our Haitian friend on the ground, Dr. Didie Louis, Haitian Director of Hunger Relief International. Pastor Kung says, “We are very excited about the opportunity to visit the orphanages that Speroway supports in Haiti. We first heard about this amazing work from Grant and Sandy Rumford who lived in Haiti during the time of the earthquake. They shared their passion for showing the love of Christ to the orphaned children and that is exactly what we are going to do next week!”
We wish the team safe travels and every blessing as they make their way to Haiti to be God’s hands and feet in this needy country. We will be updating the blog with photos and stories when they get back. Bon Voyage!
